Step into the shoes of Captain Terra, an intrepid explorer on a quest to uncover Earth’s greatest mysteries. 🗺️🌋 Students will journey through roaring volcanoes, hidden caves, and deep oceans as they learn about ecosystems, weather patterns, and the forces that shape our planet. Through experiments, field studies, and hands-on projects, every student becomes a protector of Earth’s future.
Topics to be addressed include, but are not limited to science and engineering practices, global changes, nature of science, measurement, mapping Earth’s surface, minerals, rocks, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, geologic time, meteorology, and Earth’s place in the universe. Students will participate in laboratory exercises, small group activities, web-based investigations and simulations, class discussions, projects, and even research.
