This class transforms abstract concepts into thrilling adventures, making calculus not just a subject, but a tool for shaping the future.
This course strengthens students’ understanding of functions in preparation for the process of differentiation and integration. Topics include:
Concepts of Function, Theory of Limits and Continuity, Derivatives, Integration, Introduction to Differential Equations, Application to Graphing, Rates, Approximations, Line Integrals, and even Green & Stokes’ Theorems!
A primary objective of a course in Calculus is to provide a bridge for students from high-school or lower-division mathematics courses to upper-division mathematics. Students will be challenged to grow in mathematical maturity, and to develop and strengthen problem-solving skills.
Prepare to venture into the fascinating world of limits, derivatives, and integrals! In this Calculus class, students will uncover how this powerful branch of mathematics shapes everything from physics to economics. Through interactive lessons and engaging projects, students will grasp the fundamental principles that influence motion, change, and growth. By the end of the semester, they’ll be able to apply calculus concepts to solve complex real-life problems and future studies.
