Rachna Patel

With 20+ years of dedicated teaching experience, I proudly serve as the visionary Founder and Director of RAAC, driven by the fervent mission of igniting a passion for academic excellence within our students, thereby paving the way for a radiant future. My foremost aim is to cultivate a genuine thirst for knowledge among my students, fostering a love for learning. By tailoring immersive, hands-on projects, I empower students to not only absorb, but also retain the knowledge they acquire. I wholeheartedly encourage active participation in extracurricular, project-based endeavors, enabling students to apply and hone their newfound skills in real-world scenarios. Tatlin Brickman

With a deep-rooted passion for nurturing young minds and empowering the leaders of tomorrow, I bring 7+ years of dedicated experience in leadership development to the realm of homeschool teaching. I am Tatlin, a homeschool educator committed to providing an enriching environment for children to thrive academically, socially, and personally.  I teach Spanish and Physical Education [PE] classes for different grade levels. You may call me Ms. Tate!

Alkesh Patel

With  15+ years in the industry, I lead a team of research scientists and engineers in multimodal natural language understanding and machine learning. I am passionate about creating innovative and user-centric solutions that leverage the latest advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance the user experience and satisfaction. Teaching AI to students will enable them to better understand how computers “think”, build their own AI projects, and improve their problem-solving skills.

Michael Grady

Island boy initially; love Math and Sciences; Pure Mathematics from UC Berkeley; taught High School Math and languages at nearby High Schools, from which teaching has become a passion. 40 years of Software career in Data Communications and Operating Systems; Text Input in various languages of the World… “you touch a Mac, that’s my stuff”. Getting the right answer is good. How one thinks about a problem in their own imaginative way is more important. I teach the following courses: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Spanish, and French.

I actually met Rachna at a yard sale and noticed her paintings right away. She also does birthday parties and she was planning the 16th party for my twins, unfortunately my whole family got a terrible flu the week of the party and I was devastated so no party, but she was so understanding and it would have been awesome! And just another note, I went with her to a tutoring session and I was so amazed! Opus 11 School of Music

We had the best time on Sunday with Miss Rachna! The older kids made guitars and did a musical buzzer trivia, the younger ones made a drum and shakers!  Loved seeing the creativity from everyone, reunion of ‘old friends’ and creation of new ones. If you haven’t had a chance to learn about Rachna Patel – she has a variety of classes ranging from anatomy to math to art, and even hosts birthday parties!

I just cannot say enough about how wonderful Rachna is with kids! Both my kiddos had an amazing time at camp with her and came home with some really cool projects! Rachna is firm, but always kind. She is fun and also very responsible. I enjoy her enthusiasm for not only finding new fun projects for her kids to work on, but for getting parents involved also! She has been talking with me about a “buzzer night” and also a paint night as a family activity. She is just fun. I believe that her camps are a great value also. We can’t wait for the next one!

Rachna absolutely LOVES interacting with her students and showing them ways to make learning fun, engaging, and impactful. I had my two boys ages 8 and 5 in her Science and Anatomy class, as well as the History & Geography class. In every session, you could tell how much thought, effort, and energy went into making sure the kids were getting the most out of their learning experience. Rachna expertly managed a class with a mix of student ages, personalities, and interest, and gave attention and help to each student. She was also quick and responsive with communicating with me as a parent via text, phone calls, and e-mails. My boys were always coming back with fun take homes related to their lessons, but even more importantly, they were able to gain a kind, caring, and thoughtful teacher in Rachna. We’re looking forward to signing up for more of her classes!

We can’t be more happier with Rachna’s tutoring! We found her through our charter school as a writing support for my tech savvy son. They both appeared to talk the “same language” and moreover my son found not just a teacher but a mentor for himself. So my son started with writing a book and then Rachna offered a NASA science competition project, which fit him so well. It actually involved not just writing but science (my son’s favorite), math, engineering and art. It was challenging and super engaging for my kiddo. I couldn’t thank her more for her individual approach and constant support! I’m afraid we are stuck with Rachna’s Art & Academic Club for the foreseeable future 🙂 She is so knowledgeable and creative I believe all of her classes are something.
